So we’ve taken to reading our daughter’s board books in Urdu..but we’re stuck on some of the words
The foot book left food left right foot right Bayn paun bayn paun dayn paun dayn
Feet in the day, feet in the night Paun din ka vakht…paun raat ke vakht
now that’s easy but
we have low foot and higt foot and also
up foot down foot
we’ve used neecha wala paun or ooper wala paun but the rhythm is off.. then neecha paun and uncha paun…we’re repeating…

How do you say well? Bamar paun is sick…but acha tabeit wala paun sounds wierd…
his feed her feet- uska puan or iska paun? correct?
Here come clown feet - arayhain joker ka puan???
then the winner fuzzy fur feet…we don’t even try this one and just say it with a desi accent.
no actually havn't seen any urdu board book.i hav seen some urdu poetry books for children though with funny verses.i'm planning to buy some gud urdu books for my daughter as well when i go to pak again.
but for ur daughter's age u can take out cuttings from mags,put them in ziploc sandwhich bag , staple them n make ur own picture book that u just do in urdu.with my daughter we used to do Caillou,toby, and now Dora's story books they r easy to b translated in urdu.but i usually don't go word by word just talk abt pix.
we want to make sure the words match the picture...and i asked for help since i don't know the right vocab....i can make up whatever i want to say...but if i don't know the word...i don't. Hence the reason i asked here.
This website has kids books too.. I have never purchased anything from here so can’t say much but you can compare and contrast between two and in fact this websites appears to have a good collection of books for children.
If you dont want to place an order, you can print out kids stories from this website and read it your child.

(actual translation would be pust pauN, buland pauN but it's too saqeel.. and since it's all about teaching the kid the commonly used opposites, you can just use)

Thanks for the links but at this stage with my 8 month old i want simple sentances/big picture books that are easy to go through...i'll stick to translating the board books we have now :)
