**Karachi: November 19, 2008. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has welcomed statement of one Muslim federal minister in ruling PPP government to raise demand in session of national assembly to divide Punjab and form new **PCC chief was talking to Central Committee leaders of Pakistan Christian Congress by telephonic address here today to stress for mass contacts to Christian youth to expedite peaceful movement for Separate Christian Province.
Nazir Bhatti said “ PPP plans to bag struggle of Seriaki movement’s demand of Separate Seriaki Province from decades on southern area of Punjab where Seriaki ethnic community is in majority “
“Its need of time that all Christian organizations and groups shall unite to raise voice for Separate Christian Province on division of Punjab on south eastern areas of Punjab before it is too late’ Added Nazir Bhatti
Pakistan Christian Congress PCC demanded Separate Christian Province in 1992 at Karachi and campaigning to press for division of Punjab in three federal units as Hazara Province, Seriaki Province and Separate Christian Province. The division of Punjab and NWFP is only solution to sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.
Punjab being majority population federal unit of Pakistan is enjoying monopoly on resources of country, which have created doubts among other smaller, populated provinces.
PPP government is committed to change name of NWFP to “Pukhtonistan” and now PPP minister wants division of Punjab which is very encouraging statement to solve issue of provincial autonomy.
“But Muslim majority must remember that Christian leaders formed Pakistan by their votes before Boundary Commission but Muslims treated millions of Christians as slaves in Pakistan which must end now and due share in resources and land of Pakistan shall be given to Christians in division of Punjab” said Nazir Bhatti
The division of Pakistan in more federal units can end terrorism and Talibanization in Pakistan by abolishing term of FATA and declaring Bajor Province, Waziristan Province and Swat Province which shall make easy to administer these lawless areas to restore writ in tribal belt of Pakistan.
Nazir S Bhatti said “PCC demand to divide Punjab in three federal units, NWFP in four units is under constitutional provisions of equal rights to ethnic and religious communities in federation of Pakistan”
PCC Chief assured leaders of Central Committee of PCC that demand of Separate Christian Province shall never be withdrawn under any pressure or bargain.
