Dr Khan-patriot or criminal

Re: Dr Khan-patriot or criminal

That is the important thing - the conviction did not stick. The Netherlands has in independent judiciary that is free from interference by foreign governments. A conviction in the Netherlands cannot be overturned unless legal grounds exist for it.

You seem to misunderstand the concept of a willing fall guy. Dr Khan falsely claims responsibility for the actions of successive Pakistani governments, and as a result evades any kind of legal process and prevents a trial that would bring to light the involvement of several Pakistani governments in the transfer of nuclear technology.

The important point is no trial and thus never an actual legal assessment of proof of guilt. All he has had is trial by media… and in the case of Iraq and WMDs, we know how reliable that is! :hehe:

At the end of the day, you have a man who was exonerated by a Dutch court of having ever commited criminal activity in Holland, and who was never found guilty by a Pakistani court of ever having committed a crime.

With no convictions for any crimes, how can you state he was a criminal?
