I don't think its a good idea on him to enter in the political arena. He can contribute in other areas such as science, research, or technology and be a model for younger folks aspiring to be the next technologists or scientists.

He would be the first person I call if I ever have trouble assembling whatever frivolous crap I decide to have delivered to my house in a box. Because if he can do it with foreign Nuclear technology, with nothing but blue prints and minor parts, im sure he can also assemble my wife's treadmill and save me hours of headache.

You are quite right . He is the most respected alive person in Pakistan . He is now old for further work also so he should better doing advising the nation and some social work . There is a lot already in politics .

He is an overrated personality in the grand scheme of things. Munir Ahmad Khan contributed a lot more than Dr.AQ. As did other scientists.

You are right , Thousand worked and thousands still working but it is a chance like a world cup , 12 player work but title gets the captain . He is a real hero and no one can snatch the title . He is old enough and better we should avoid if his views are not according to us .

I don’t believe his ‘father of Islami bum’ is questioned for first time, it has been addressed many many times before. My personal opinion used to be same ‘he is the real hero for Pakistan nuke’ but later in 1990s as I read more on the saga it became clear that though he was an important player but he was not The player for Pakistan’s nukes.
If this guy still believes in the forced ‘admission’ as the ‘traitor’ then this author is nothing short of being an idiot.
We should not limit people from joining politics as long as their intentions are good for the country otherwise likes of Altaf Hussin, Rahman Malik, Zulfiqar Mirza, Babar Awan, Mulla Fazlur Rahman etc will keep the politics dirty/messy/killer ground.

Topic at hand: Samar Mubarak Mund was a very vital contributor too to that nuclear program but he never sought credit like Dr AQ did or still does. He is in some sort of confused state of mind as how to go about his future life.
