Afghan police arrested her on July 17th. The Afghan police refused to hand her over to US soldiers, who then turned their guns on the police and forced them to give her up. During this confrontation, she walked towards the US soldiers to complain that the Afghans had mistreated her, at which point the Americans thought she was going to attack them and shot her.
