This is an informal conversation between Dr. Abdus Salam and Akhtar Said who, according to the video description, was involved with modernizing science education in Pakistan and invited Dr. Salam to give advice on the reforms. This conversation does not deal with the reforms albeit very briefly in the context of the third world. It mainly deals with science but also touches on religion, mathematics and other fields. It is mostly in Punjabi but Dr. Salam explains a lot of things in English as well.
It is a rare treasure and that’s why I am posting it in PA so that maximum number of people can watch it.
The host is not a scientist and sometimes argues unnecessarily especially in the first 20 minutes of part two. However, the whole conversation is a treat to listen to and reflects well on Dr. Salam’s knowledge of science as well as religion.
