Yeah but who looks at it that way? And i’m not talking abt in our religion but in our culture… Of course ur rihgt, dil ka tukra diya (that’s such a sweet way of putting it!) there’s no bigger gift..but in our culture, that’s just not enough
Don’t get me wrong, i’m all for rasams and stuff but only when it’s all in fun and happiness… My own parents did this custom, and even though everybody else around us was b*tching abt it (even though they had nothing to do w/ it!, they just needed to complain) they did it purely out of their own happiness and everything, not once were htey depressed or stressed out over it or think abt what my future in laws wud think… But i can still understand why beforehand, parents wud probably get stressed over this..
