Downloading NetBeans... Compiler??

Alrighty what am I doing wrong here?

I downloaded the IDE 6.1 for C\C++.. When I was trying to open IDE, I was getting a message that ‘No compilers found’.

Someone told me to download JDK. But I think it was downloaded automatically when I was downloading IDE.. During the installation, it showed,
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_06
So I m assuming its downloaded?

Then someone else told me to download this,
Windows Online Installation JRE file
jre-6u10-rc-windows-i586-p-iftw.exe, Download this small file (less than 0.5MB), then run it to download the reminder of the JRE (approx. 11MB)

err Yeah… Then I tried downloading the compiler(Cygwin) and now I get this.

So preety much I have been downloading random stuff!! :smiley:

There are tons of C/C++ compilers out there why you need netbeans for that. Go for a hardcore C/C++ compiler.

Get one for windows from here C++Builder

Hey Nauman - C++ - The link you just gave me is already installed in my computer.. When I tried running the setup, it asked me to overwrite the files.

So I have no idea what's the problem now?

Thanks Nauman!!! I just added the C++ compiler in the IDE following 2nd option from 1st image… ahh lol how dumb of me!

uh No noo, I'm just IN the program... I switched from software engineering to computer engineering... per programming nay tou kabhii jaann nahin chorni...
Not giving up when I just got the hang of it all. haha :D
