Doubting wife's fidelity, Indian man kills son

BHUBANESWAR: A man in Orissa killed his minor son suspecting him to be an outcome of his wife’s illicit relationship, local media reported Saturday.

Rabindranath Naik, a resident of Goudagoth village in the southern district of Ganjam, was married to Bimala Naik of neighbouring Maraipalli village in Phulbani district about eight years ago, Samaja, an Oriya daily, reported.

After the birth of their first son, the couple developed differences and were living separately. After an intervention of village elders, the two had started living together recently, it said.

When Bimala gave birth to a second son, Naik suspected the baby to be the outcome of an illicit relationship of his wife. Naik Thursday fed the baby, named Mohit, an overdose of Chloroquine, a malaria drug, as a result of which the boy died, the newspaper said.

Is gupshup a tabloid?
What's the point of posting this uselss bakwas?

Re: Doubting wife's fidelity, Indian man kills son

Have a look at other threads in General. If it's bakwas, they're bigger bakwas. In any case, you need to stop your bakwas, if that's all you can do.

Re: Doubting wife's fidelity, Indian man kills son

This system of 'elders' in India should be controlled. If the couple wasn't interested in staying together, these 'elders' should not have interevned. This tragedy could have been averted. Every single life is important. Every single life. It's tragic that such incidents there don't get any publicity in international media. And, there are too many.

People need to be educated, so that they don't kill thier kids because they douted the fidelity of their wives. It can't happen unless we try to change this oppressive culture, and help these people abolish these customs. Be reasonable.

Re: Doubting wife's fidelity, Indian man kills son

vertigo, if such a thing had happened in a muslim society, then definitely it was a case to be concerned about....
since the involved ppl here r not muslims, its a non-issue....

Re: Doubting wife's fidelity, Indian man kills son

^ True. Next time, I'll post some similar story about Pakistan. I think I'll get more replies. I'm sorry I made a mistake this time. This must have been an isolated incident.

I apologize for this bakwas.

Re: Doubting wife’s fidelity, Indian man kills son

Another case from India.

A woman in her mid-20s was found murdered near Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Friday morning. The body, with the throat slit, was lying in front of a factory.

**"There were deep wounds all over the body. The ankles were slashed and marks of stabbing were found on the chest and abdomen. Before committing the crime, the killers took off her clothes — a blue-and-white kameez and blue salwaar. Our investigation suggests the woman had tried her best to resist her killers."

Police are waiting for the post-mortem report to ascertain whether the woman was raped.

The incident has sparked panic among residents around the airport. **They alleged that the murder was a fallout of “immoral activities” in bars and hotels along VIP Road and in the Rajarhat-Baguiati area. **

You see how the educated people of the area react when a woman is stripped, (probably) gang raped, and her throat is slit…

“It was a fall-out of immoral activities.”

PS- India can make more nuclear weapons. I’m not stupid enough to be able see a connection between the number of nuclear warheads and moral degeneration of humanity in such cases.

Re: Doubting wife's fidelity, Indian man kills son

i hope india does not have fake loser women like asma jehangir or anees tameez

Re: Doubting wife's fidelity, Indian man kills son

I do not call Asma Jahangir loser, although I strongly disagree with some of her assertions concerning the issues of national security. I think she's taken up the cases of many suffering women. That should be appreciated. We should give due credit to a person if s/he is done something positive. But we should honour only those who're genuinely interested in helping suffering women, and are not clamouring only for cheap publicity to serve their own interests/egos.

Indians have such women. But they are very busy digging dirt on Pakistan. We have a responsibility here.

Fight over a useless issue. As a suggestion Vertigo, you might want to post these type of threads in Cafe in future.
