Dostana has been immensely successful as a comedy and people loved the chemistry between John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan despite being conservative over the issue of homosexuality.
So producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukhani are planning a sequel of the film. Apparently Tarun is already working on script where John and Abhishek are in Punjab instead of Miami.
Priyanka Chopra wont be a part of the sequel because in Dostana she gets married to Bobby Deol and so her track in the film is almost over.
A source reports, “Director Tarun Mansukhani is still working on the plot of the new film. He doesn’t want to make a sequel just for the heck of it. He is making sure that he has a gripping story that justifies the sequel.
The sequel will star Abhishek and John Abraham as friends. However, Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol may not find a place in the film. Rather, a new actress would be roped in.
Reports say the story of ‘Dostana 2’ will take the two friends from Miami to Punjab. In the new version, they clarify to everyone that they aren’t gays. But they are unwittingly caught in such situations that none believes them.”
