So has anybody watched the movie ‘Dorian Gray’? If you have, what do you think of it?
Is it worth watching?

Re: Dorian Gray
I SO want to watch it. I am a tad bit disappointed with the actor playing Dorian. Hes not beautiful at all. Please read the book first. Its SUCH a good story. I heart Oscar Wilde.
Sehar, how are your students finding it?
Re: Dorian Gray
who is playing gray?? i hope the movie is good cuz i love the book and dont wanna see it ruined:hinna:
Re: Dorian Gray
Hey guys I am actually reading the book now...never really had the chance to read it before. Apparently I heard the movie is not all that : (
Ben Barnes is playing Dorian Gray. He was the one from the Chronicles of Narnia.
Re: Dorian Gray
Its Prince Caspian or whateves his name is. He is pretty, but he is by no means 'beautiful'. For me, Dorian Gray was the epitome of beauty, as he was for Oscar Wilde. I think Oscar would be disappointed too. :(
Re: Dorian Gray
ok so dude matches dorian grays description
lets hope they make a good movie too
milly: who u think cud make a better dorian gray?
wilde shudnt be dispaointed cuz the way he described dorian is more of a pretty-ish beautiful not macho beautiful ya knw so i think Barnes kinda fits,no?
NO! I no like Prince Caspian!
I didnt want him to be Macho. Just beautiful. Like someone who defines beauty. Prince Caspain does NOT define beauty.
Im still going to watch it though. ![]()

Re: Dorian Gray
You do have a very valid point Billi. I shall let it be for now. Let me end it with: I sometimes think that God in creating Man somewhat overestimated his abilty.

Re: Dorian Gray
I think Robert Pattinson would have made a great Dorian Gray : D
Re: Dorian Gray
^ Nah, more like Chase from House. Jesse Spencer (I)
I picture light hair and delicate features.
I guess Prince Caspian is okay.
Mills, it’s pretty popular with most of them, as it has been in the past. There’s something about the way Lord Henry states everything in universal truths and is obsessed with a boy on the verge of adulthood that is appealing to these 17-18yo. I read it for the first time in my mid-twenties and don’t feel the same appeal they do. But I like it.
*well,, i read the novel by Oscy and found it xtremely pathetic........man, it is very repetitve and strange..........the dialogues r the same from all of his stories.......Oscy liked his male characters to be beautiful may be cause he was gay....blah blah b;ah!!!!
