**Here’s the interview with Inzi on Geo Super with host Fakhr-e-Alam.
The reason I put “Dopy” in the heading due to the way he tried answering all the questions he was asked. I am sure you all will find these questions that we were posting asking each other on the board.
I did not get to record the program right from the beginning but I only missed 5 mins or so.
^ with due respect teaser bhai, i strongly disagree about your 'dopy' claim
I think Inzi handled all the questions well and cleared some tough questions.
Thanks a ton for posting it... it makes me feel better about the debacle.
^ Well I did not felt that he gave proper or even in detail answers of "some very important questions". When a question is asked he instead of answering he starts to make you guess what he wants to say and ends the answer with something like....theek hai na ge...wo to chalain theek hai magar...mai ye nahi kehta...wo apni jaga theek hain....unko bhi huq hai...theek hai na ge........

Yar Teaser this is the most irritating part about his interviews lately. We were somehow able to digest that in the past but I guess enough is enough.
Well call him what you like, thanks to early exit from the Wc 07, Inzi will remain Inzi, one of the best batsman ever produced by Pakistan. No one should forget, he was never happy to be the captain of Pakistan team but he did the job; sometimes he failed and sometimes he flourished.
Well Guys, I think if you look back and take a macro look at things with this interview in perspective, I am sure some of us will agree to the following:
1. Inzimam is not the "dopey" character that people have labelled him to be for a long time. He is an intelligent human being. He is not stupid. However, his cricketing tactics and approach can definitely be questioned.
Why I claim that he is intelligent? Purely because he was shrewedly able to avoid some slick and sharp questions from Fakhr with ease. E.g. (1) The question about Mushtaq's appointment, (2) about PJ Mirs comments and claims of extreme religious focus. Answered this one quite admirably I would say, (3) of not letting Yasir hameed play - touche' Fakhr - Although I was not satified with his answer. He also stuttered while answering the question about playing order and no 4 vs no5.
2. The root cause of the whole mess is really PCB management being inept in many respects. Added was the adhocism hovering over Pakistan cricket for so many years now.
3. Some credit to Inzimam for uncovering the domestic cricket, Academy on part and PCB as a whole shortcomings by way of these heavy losses. If anything postive that has come out from this fiasco, it is the realization of Pakistan cricket having a deep problem at the national level.
4. Inzimam became important due to PCB's weakness in management. At the end he is in focus due to diplomats like Shahryar, and Bureaucrats such as Altaf, Bari trying to shift blame and looking for an escape goat.
5. Everyone from the team to the Board and ex-Chairmans is taking complete advantage of the fact that Bob Woolmer will never speak again. So he can't come and make a statement in contrast to their own. Quite Pathetic indeed. The only one who is consistent in his statement regarding Bob is Inzimam. His comments prior to the WC and post WC seem close together. He has a defined role for a coach in his mind and he has stuck with it. He can be blamed for not being keen towards the potential of coaching but nothing more.
6. All of those who continue to be against Inzimam are those who were against him from the beginning. They should face the reality that he tried his best, and shame on PCB for not being able to find a better Captain and making the right decisions at the right time. PCB is a copybook example of a spineless and clueless administration.
PJ Mir (read paji) hosted a program a while ago on ARY called Postmortam WC 07. Although I wasted alot of time watching it on youtube, I think other then Asif Iqbal and Shahid Afridi all rest of penalists were quite rubbish.
I like Afridi’s remarks on Inzimam and it says all regarding conflict in team.
I thought Inzi was slightly more impressive than his usu. mundane post match performances. If anything Fakhr comes across as a disingenuous guy, someone who's so easily impressed by personalities. With Imran Khan he tended to go along with everything he said but whenever Inzi tried to dismiss his arguments/claims, Fakhr either showed little interest or quickly went onto the next question
