those can be opened with a compas (the 2 needled ones, fortget what its called). I thought they taught that in Matric?

Tofibaba its called, Compass (Perkaar). Not all desi locks open with that, they have mechanism like a bolt lock inside these, the problem with these locks were .. that they were made of cast Iron & not Steel so with the arrival of Steel locks they went out of market.
