He is my one of the favourite batsmen in the world but nowadays his firework is just missing.Wheever he comes to bat,there rise banners` BOOM BOOM AFRIDI’ but he gets out and walks back faster than he reaches the crease for batting.By having him batting at the fifth or sixth,Pak is not benifitting out of him.Indeed,with the calibre he has got, in going after the bowling,he should be allowed to open the innings.It’s been a long time since he has opened the innings for Pakistan.Its current opening pair is not doing any tremendous work for Pakistan.What do you people think?

Open the batting? Been there done that and failed. Put him in top slot only means all the batsmen following him will be under pressure as Pak will be something like 16/1 in 2 overs.
well i guess butt-jamshaid combo shud b given enuff chance …

The only thing Afridi should open is a dhaba and sell biryani.

Evn in the down order he is not able to perform.So better he should open the innings.

with afridi opening, our top order can never be stable.. openers have to provide decent foundation in order for our batting to succeed and with afridi that is not going to happen..

Even with the current opening pair,Pakistan is not getting any stable or good opening.
