waits impatiently looking at the clock wondering why you’re late or rings you up when a minutes over and asks if everythings ok and takes that sakoon ki saans when you walk in the door.
Or the way shes done her best to make the house as clean as possible so you do minimal when you’re home tired from school or work. And how she’s saved you your favourite food because she knows you’ll be hungry. Or like shouts at you to sit and take a breather before you hit your books or do anything else because ‘you’re gonna tire yourself out’.Or gets angry when you’ve left the house without saying Khuda Khafiz or walked in and not let her know.
Even the jhirkein are cute. And then after shes bollocked you she feels bad and bes extra nice by giving you a hug or peck or a pat on the back and says ‘meri beti thay hea hi bari sayani’ just after calling you the most stupid aulaad on the planet.
Don’t you love her passnig you fruits to ‘put in your bag and have it on the way’ as you peg it out of the house running late for the bus to uni, to work…to anywhere.
It’s all silly back then. And the attention is suffocating at times. You need time out. But when you’re away you realise how much you miss the tiniest of things…especially when you have no one that does that for you anymore.
^^^ I think we have all done this in our years. But once you are married or are away from your family that is when you realize their true value.
I also wish i could take back so many things that i have said…But it is only a “Mother” who can forget all the rudeness and continue to love their children unconditionally.
hehehe cat...i do that all the time, i did i mean.
Even when i go back on vacation. First coupla weeks we're dead nice to each other. After a bit it's the same mother daughter squabbles heheh its part of the love.. :)
Mahru, true true...only when you're away do you realise how precious they are.

yeah my mum never lets us leave the house without eating something, she'll get really cross about it too...i'm like mum i'll take it with me...but nooo "betkeh kaho"...haha she always wins...and ppl always tellin me wait til after u get married off then u'll realise...but i already do, and i'm really grateful...even when i'm cross at her for something...it doesn't last long...and i know i will miss her loads after i get married too...rite now, i just miss my nani a lot...
I was lving out in my 1st yr uni...and the kind of treatment i got from my mum was wonderful on the weekend...the less you see of them...the better you get on...
Cos when you do meet...you have missed each other...during uni i got some amazing meals...and some over done pampering...no room for arguments cos you dont see each other that often...
Now im back for the holidays its business as usual lol...
