DON'T USE PAKGULISTAN.COM!

Since Eid is approaching and I know many people here use some online service to send gifts to their loved ones in Pakistan, I thought I should share the terrible experience I just had with Pakgulistan.com when sending gifts to my fiance in Islamabad on her birthday.

Their customer services is one of the worst ones I have exprienced so far. On their website, they say that the customer will be informed via e-mail once the order is delivered. I did not get any e-mails from them on the day the gift was supposed to be delivered. I then called their customer service number at 11 AM EST (8 PM Pakistan time) to find out wheather or not my gift was delivered. When I called the number they have listed on their website, a lady picked up after a few rings and just said “hello?” in a very sleepy voice (I could clearly tell by her voice that she was sleeping and was awakened by the phone). I thought I had called the wrong number and asked if it was pakgulistan.com and she just said “yes” (again in that sleepy voice). I then asked her if she could tell me the status of my order and whether or not it was delivered. She said that there was no way for her to find out what the status of my order is and that I should wait for a confirmation e-mail. I said that it was 8 PM in Pakistan and I should have received a confirmation e-mail by now if the gift was delieverd. She said that there’s no way for her to find out and I should just wait for the e-mail.

I then sent an e-mail to two different e-mail addresses they have listed on their website asking for the status, but still have not heard anything back from them. I then called their customer service number again, hoping to get someone besides that lady I had talked to the first time, but everytime I called, I kept getting voicemail (even the voice mail message was not customized to mention pakgulistan.com. It was the default greeting you get when you buy a phone with voice mail). I then called my fiance and she informed me that the gifts were delieverd at 5 PM, but the cake’s flavor was different than what I had asked for (they delivered a chocolate cake when I had asked for a pineapple one) and there was also no “Happy Birthday” message on the cake which I had also asked for. So it was just a plain chocolate cake without any greetings on it.

It was a terrible exprience overall! So just wanted to share it with the guppies here who might be thinking about using pakgulistan.com to send gifts to their loved ones. Go with somone else even if you have to pay more for the services.
