I downloaded the version before the new 1 and it said in order to carry on you will hav eto use the latest version...i cant use the last version

how are you managaing to use the last oversion?

uninstalled the latest version completely. Also uninstall the windows Live installer. I take yu are using windows Vista? once system is clean of all messanger traces, restart computer and install an older version.
