don't know what to say to this....

ITHACA - Nearly half of all Americans believe the federal government should restrict the civil liberties of Muslim-Americans, according to a new national poll.

People who identified themselves as Republicans or highly religious were more likely to support curtailing Muslims’ civil liberties than Democrats or less religious people, the Cornell survey found. And respondents who paid more attention to TV news were more likely to fear terror attacks and also supported limiting Muslims’ rights.

“It’s disturbing news, but it’s not unpredictable,” said Mahdi Bray, executive director of the Muslim American Society.

Although the survey said 44% favored some restrictions on Muslims’ civil liberties, 48% said they shouldn’t be restricted in any way. Among other findings:

27% want to require all Muslim Americans to register their address with the government.

22% said racial profiling to identify terror threats is okay.

29% thought undercover agents should infiltrate Muslim civic organizations to keep tabs on their activities and fund-raising.

** So anyone up for a trip to Canada?? :hoonh: **

Sad indeed. It is time to avoid Palistinazation of Pakistani-Americans. It is time to set up separate mosques for Pakistanis only. It is time to denounce Middle Eastern tribalhood that is eating away at the very core of Arrabobs.

Arrabobs have used militancy against Israel from 1948 until today. What is the result: Loss of Arab territory after every war.

Enter Ozie Bin-Ladeen starting similar militancy on global level. The result is obvious, the world will push Arrabobs into ghettos. If Pakistanis want to live in ghettos, hey bud! be my guest. If however Pakistanis love their country, and want to see their future generations prosper in the world, they must move away from the so called "Mullahtic brotherhood". You either side with modern day prosperous Ali Baba, or be part of 40 tribal thieves. The choice is yours.

p.s. Mullahtic idiotic followers on this board will jump on this, because they know Pakistan has a decent shot at making it big in this world. These Mullahtics would rather see Pakistan as a poor 3rd class country. They will use every religious trick in their hand to move Pakistanis away from the a good future.

^^^ You're a bigger fool than I thought.

Lets blame the Arabs. Oh but never ever criticise the Americans. No, for whose ass would you lick otherwise. I mean you don't want your tongue to get bored now do ya.

If you know that a group of people are on the rail track only seconds from the oncoming high-speed train, what would you do?

  1. Start blaming the station master, the train driver, or Allah Mian
  2. Join the group on the rail tracks to express your brotherhood
  3. Pull as many people off the track as possible and inform the rest they will be dead meat if they'd stay on the track

What da ya do Bud? What would ya do?

This number will jump to at least 70% with another terrorist attack.

Re: don’t know what to say to this…

Hmm…people who identify themselves as republicans…the so-called religious…

support curtailing the civil rights of others…

and those Democrats…or less religious people are less likely to support limiting others rights…

The underlying insinuation made in the ^ article linking Democrats and “less religious”… is offensive to my democratic soul…

Where are the articles linking Republicans with hypocrite?

Websters Dictionary defination of hypocrite.

Antiobl ,our dearest Quaid used only such religious tricks to liberate us from evil-cunning-short-dark-curry eating-dhoti wearing Bhindoos . :jhanda:

^ so long as we were liberated in the end, its all good. :k:

Sara........That is true....One of the main targets of all US governments & secret services from now onwards would be to make US a difficult place for Muslims to live in........
That's why you are seeing so many(even very well settled)Pakistani families here in North America moving back to Pakistan...the other reason ofcourse is current good economic indicators of Pakistan...........

Well In Amerikkka not too long ago they used to lynch people just for being black so this current witchunt against muslims does not surprise a lot of sensible people at all!

hahahh! Religious tricks! My foot.

Every religious MAToo was in Gandhi's camp. Azad, Maw-doodi, Bukhari, Masriqi and you name it. Every beardo was ready to jump on Jinnah by declaring him Kafir. Quaid was not alone, damn beardos heaped the same scorn on Iqbal, and Sir Syed too.

Get out of the MAToo hujra-bazi and you'd understand Jinnah and Pakistan.

Damn beardos!

^^Hey I just declared by ThandyMazak that I am a Kafir in Secularized Pakistan thread (but who cares).

Sarah516 I dont think it will happen. People in U.S are very diverse in ideologies. There are some people that stereotype Muslims but in general most U.S citizens know that it is only a bunch of muslim anarchists not all muslims.
