Don't compromise on 4 things to make your child a friend of Allah

Encourage him and generate in him an interest (through examples of role models) to develop 4 qualities that shouldn’t be compromised on, for attaining a good character.

  1. Don’t lie no matter how bad the consequences seem to be. (No matter how fast a lie runs, sooner or later the truth catches him).

  2. 5 times Prayer/Namaz. It develops disciplince in a child, to become organized and feel the importance of time. Also to avoid immoral acts and many more benefits.

  3. To develop a taste of serving people. So that he feels pleasure in helping the needy. To facilitate/serve others causes humbleness, kills laziness, generates capacity of containing/absorbing knowledge. Also prayers and blessings of those whom he serves, would keep him on the right track.

  4. Avoiding bad company. Human is made of water, that is immensly influenced by environment. In freezer it freezes, in fire it boils. A man coming out of a flowers shop brings good smell along with him, and a man coming out of garbage brings bad smell with him.

p.s. We need to practice it ourselves also parallely because children are more influenced by what we ourselves do than what we only advise them to do (but don’t practice ourselves).

I agree with all of these but before 3 and 4 I'd add "Regularly reading the Quran at Fajr time" as the recitation of Quran at fajr is 'witnessed'. Reading Quran to the kid and telling them stories from the Quran so that they understand where they come from.
