Re: Done with potential rishta.
She doesn’t want to spoil her birthday. Since she’s the one who ended the rishta…I think she’s afraid that her mom will get mad at her, lecture her, etc.
Pastry,
Obviously the tension of ending the rishta is on your mind right now…even though you haven’t informed your parents yet. So with this tension on your mind…would you be able to enjoy your birthday, even if you don’t tell your parents? IF you think that telling your mom on your birtday will lead to her getting mad at you, lecturing you about the lack of good rishtay/your lack of patience/etc etc and spoiling the atmosphere…then tell her the day after your birthday. Sometimes it can take parents a while to cool down and look at things objectively…their initial reaction might be strong/harsh enough to spoil the mood…and so in that case…by all means, tell her after your bday. You can only delay it, not escape it. Buy yourself some time, and then it has to be done. Besides…i think it’s better for your mom to hear it from you first then from the other party.
