if the "slap" is going to leave any slight mark on the skin of child it comes under "child abuse" parents dont have any right to beat/hit/slap in that way to hurt the skin, its illegal.
Our Prophet PBUH never hit any child, he was a trainer and teacher.
If teachers can control, discipline, train and teach 25 kids (9am-3pm), without touching them, then why not parents at home?? ...there are so many other ways to discipline them.
