Trust me we tried even doing that at my sister’s and it was still boring! People don’t end up knowing the tune of the song etc and we eventually ditched the dholki and just danced instead but I have been to some dolkhis that are really fun but only when everyone joins with the singing instead of hiding at the back of the pack. Also helps if you have a good dholki player who can play good beats. Thanks anyway I will be printing song books etc out
