Doing something special in a long-distance relation..

Its my fiance’s birthday next month. My family will be sending gifts and since everything is through families it is a little awkward for me to send him a gift at this phase. It may seem odd to many here but thats how it is in some families.

Anyway, I wanted to do some little acts on my own. I’ve made cards of his pictures using photoshop for his birthday. There is also one card with our engagement picture with some wishes on it. Ofcourse, all these will be e-mailed.

I want to know what other things or acts i could do for his birthday. What i have available is Phone service, SMS service, email, facebook, etc. Any ideas?

Re: Doing something special in a long-distance relation..

Thats an awesome idea. He lives in UK; so if i pay here will TCS people give it over there? any idea about the charges?

Re: Doing something special in a long-distance relation..

Frankly, boys are not so much into this sorta thing abra, but if I were in your place (which I have been quite honestly!) I would write a letter. People underestimate the value of snail mail. Handwritten letters, not cards mind you, go a long way. There isnt much else you can do which he would appreciate. If you know someone who is living there they can send over a cake on your behalf, but that sorta stuff appeals to females more than males honestly.

Re: Doing something special in a long-distance relation..

i agree with Demesne, people don't do a lot of letter writing nowadays so a letter from you would be a sweet surprise for him plus something he can keep forever :)
oh and a spritz of your perfume on the letter would be a good touch!
