Sooo I am getting married in about 2 weeks and I have decided to do my makeup myself on the big day… The wedding is in a small town in Pakistan & all the brides I have seen always have that “cakey” makeup look from the local artists… which is what I don’t want. Big city (Multan) is 3 hour drive… and I dont have enough time to get a trial before the wedding…
I am planning to get the eye makeup done + hair from a local make up artist and plan is to keep the eyes subtle…
**
Dilemma is I dont know what lipstick shade to put on for the big day.. I want to go with Mac Ruby woo for walima… but nikkah day… I am clueless… I have tried some light shades of pink - but it looks awful…so I need some darker shade..
**
For blush, I am using Chanel’s rose initiale; foundation - I am using vitalumiere aqua (30) and then setting it with les beige healthy glow sheer (20)…cant remember the concealer shade…
Still need to buy a dress so I want lipstick that will look good with any color:(…
PLEASE HELP!!!
And can someone also suggest some good brand fake eyelashes? Thank youuu!! <3
Hmm....how about trying to mix the colors. If Ruby Woo looks good, do you have colors that you can mis with Ruby Woo to produce a slightly different shade? You could try mixing your pink lipsticks with darker ones to create a color variation. You could also try buy another shade, bht since you're pressed for time I thought why not experiment with mixing the ones you have first...it could result in just the right shade.
What colour is your outfit? Do you want a bold lip colour or a neutral? Try Girl About Town from MAC - it’s a gorgeous pink that I think looks good on many skin tones! If you’re looking for a nude, try Velvet Teddy.. or try mixing velvet teddy and girl about town if you want a softer pink.
I also like MAC’s eyelashes - in the last picture on this post, I am wearing lashes from MAC if you want to get an idea.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Appreciate it
Reha - I feel like I will look like a vamp with fixed on drama
hmm swatches in google images make it look different on all skintones - so hard to tell… I think I will need to check it out in store. And I loveee ruby woo tooo!!
girl about town is too pink.. lol I still need to buy a dress.. I have 4 days when I get to pak to buy a dress.. lol eeek I just hope I find THE dress…
So Ardell is at Walmart too … way too many options though.. and that makes it hard to pick one.. any suggestions? How’s glamour? Ever tried it?
hmm I have fair skin with a slight olive undertone.. See the attached pic..
As far as color of dress goes, I have noooo idea.. Need to buy the dress myself for nikkah day and I have four days… I am willing to spend $$$$ so hopefully I can get something really nice from lahore/faislabad… For walima/mehndi, my inlaws bought the dress (eek should have asked them for the color)…

Yeah, they have a great selection. I've never personally tried any of the glamour lashes, but the Demi Wispies Black look fab. It depends on how heavy you are willing to go.
Are there any colours (for your outfit) that you're leaning towards? I would suggest that you base your lip colour on your dress and not the other way around...
I would buy a pink, a red and a nude lipstick and then mix and match those 3 to get the colour to match my dress. For example, you can always put on a nude colour and then add some pink to it to give it a pinkish tone. Or add red to give it a red look etc..
^^^ That a great idea buying 3 diff colors and mix matching them.
The best tip about lipstick color is to pass a really good hand of foundation and powder on your lips before passing any lipstick color. Passing really good hand of foundation in your lips will make the color of your lips to fade, and then the lipstick actual color will pop. And the powder will help it to stay until the end of the party.
