She was very very scared…her trousers from the knee area were torn. The Indian guy was busy handling the dog and Arab uncle was busy shouting at the Indian guy…they didn’t pay much attention to the poor girl.

No animal should be left to roam around and this applies to any city or wherever human reside.
The owners of these animals are plain and simple idiots and out of absurd level of ‘love’ they have for their animals, they do not care for other human beings including little kids.
These owners themselves or their kids do get hurt by their own pets.

I know man…I mean like why the hell did she do that? How dare she!!! Vut is she insinuating??? Why did she have to say “little” girl? Just “girl” would have sufficed. And why did she have to say “Arab” neighbor…when plain “neighbor” is good enough.
Damn you, Hareem!!! Who do you think you are? A news reporter? Don’t you ever…everrrrrrr use adjectives or any descriptors for the people in a story that is factual or otherwise..Everrrrr!!! That should only be left to the journalists!

Training and socializing a dog takes time. Anyone who can’t make time for their pet shouldn’t get an aggressive dog breed. Heck do yourself a favor and buy yourself some goldfishes.
In defense of the Indian owner, the more you runway from the dog, more the dog is going to chase you - most of the times out of playfulness. If the leash was out of his hand and dog was already running behind the girl, then the only thing owner could do was to ask the girl to stop running, which he was doing.
But because this incident involves an afraid and crying little girl, my heart hurts for that poor baby. I pray that she is feeling safe and secure and is with her mommy now.

Let me share very similar experience:
I witnessed two littlle kids running around their mother who was talking to a woman who owned a little dog chasing kids while barking at those kids.
Both kids were frantic. Their mother was trying to stop the kids and also trying to get hold of a very small leash this little dog had circling around and round.
Apparently the owner and the mother were talking earlier and the dog decided to bark at and scared the kids (Perhaps 5 or 6 years old- a girl and a boy).
What was upsetting that the owner woman was just yelling at the dog saying “stop …whatever the name of dog was” and nothing else.
I watched that for a short while and ran towards the dog and grabbed the leash to stop the dog.
Both kids and their mother were breathless and the idiot owner woman was calm and standing still right where she was!
I do not think the owners of animals should have any excuse whatsoever,..for not keeping their animals in control.

If you run then the dog will definitely chase you but I’ve seen dog-owners ( at one stage I was one myself) who would call the dog off in any such case and the dog would actually listen to them. I think it depends very much how you train your dog.

Rules:
- If you get a dog train it to respect others
- If you get a dog control it
- If you get a dog make it obedient to you - if it suffers from lapses
- If you get a dog and does not listen to you - chase it down if it runs away
- If you get a dog recognise others do not share your interest in it
- If you get a dog recognise others will not know its psychology - especially not children
- If you ever see a dog - control your level of excitement if you don’t want it coming close to you …
- If you see a dog chasing someone - chase the dog and call it in a playful way … or grab its leash or collar - put yourself between the scared person and the dog …
Based on these rules - it is stupidity to tell the girl to stop running … he should have started running. We should tell those rich Qataris who have a pet cheetah to make it run after that dude …

^What some dog owners are too thick-headed to understand is that a person who has a phobia of dogs…finds it hard not to run from a dog. It’s hard for them to control that impulse and unless you have this phobia you will not understand it. It’s easy to say “stop running”…but for a phobic person, it’s not so simple. A phobia vy definition is an irrational fear…do not expect the person to behave rationally. Instead run after that damned dog of yours. Some breeds are more vicious than the others and in the amount of time it takes you to “walk” or rather “mosey over” to your kutta, it may have already done severe damage to the victim…requiring stitches or plastic surgery…and sometimes the damage may even be irreversible.

Here I am … you were asking for me earlier … With time people start to see through posts - a real pattern of behaviour - let’s just say - hareem01 can see that. Hiding behind humour and being jovial but attempting to dehumanise the humane … No sense of balance just sheer opposition - it can be seen a mile off … Despite your gags one can see that are really offended and the smilies with shades are a cover up …
