you get screwed over when it comes time to get paid? Like repeatedly?
how do you deal with this? you wanna throw a tantrum but u know u can’t..and you wanna beat up ur boss or the dumb cow in payroll but u know u can’t…
oh and u know u will be compensated..but u really really really really really really needed that money like YESTERDAY and it doesn’t matter how apologetic hte person is, u really really really needed it.
for those of u who know my history, stop laffing at me
I do not know your history so I can laugh. :)
If you are sure you will get paid shortly , use credit card in the interim. Or pickup a laptop or desktop or some other equipment from the office and pawn it till they pay you the difference.

Oh gosh no!
actually i don't have a CC, i just applied for one, but i'm still scared to use it, as mine said i have 0 % APR for the first 6 months and then after 6 months my APR will go from 13 to 24% depending on my history of usage...
November 2005, they only pay me for one weeks worth, because they wanted to give us more at the end of the semester (towards christmastime, more cash and all) which makes sense and is a good idea, but still, she should’ve sent out a mass email or at least told us about it.
July 2006, I was supposed to get paid for 12 hours of work…but the person in the payroll department mixed upmy time sheet with someone else, who only worked 2 hours in that period. So that lucky guy got alot of xtra money whereas I got paid $11.
September 2006, at a new job, i was supposed to get paid but my manager did not submit my paperowrk on time, and they blamed me for it , that i did not give my SS# etc on time.
April 2008, I worked some extra hours and was supposed to get paid time and a half for them. which i did not get. i spoke to my boss and he said he will double check.
I would start looking for a new job ? What is stopping you from looking for another job with somewhat decent company ?
No it never happened to me. They never made mistakes. They deliberately refused to pay overtime long time ago I went to my boss’s boss and got paid what I deserved.
^ I finally spoke to the woman who submits the payroll. We went over the sheets, and what was on record matched my records. However, on one sheet, the hours for two days that i had worked were whited out. I don't know if it was my supervisor who did that or what. I'll wait to hear from him, but it seemed very shady to me that someone would white it out.

They are criminals , look for another job please and find one ASAP. Only a criminal will white out hours or a hard working employee.
Au Contraire... I know someone who kept getting paid 3 times what she was supposed to be getting paid... and this happened repeatedly for a few months.
She spent it all for three months and then at the advice of her friends disclosed the glitch to her employer. Company couldn't do anything about it though... she just had to leave her job - which she said was okay cuz it was something temporary anyways.

Mirch, I really highly doubt my boss would do that. I definitely believe it could be a co-worker. But i won't know until i actually hear back from him.
This is a job on campus, it's pretty much teh easiest job there... i dont plan on being there after december.. =//

Oh , ok, yes in that case I agree with you but you never know boss can do that too to stay within budget. The campuses are always strapped for money. Wish you good luck till December and beyond.
