Are they still called O and A level? Is it like Pakistan, where 3-4 weeks before exams (both O and A, and Metric/Inter), student life pretty much stops. For a good number it is just books, tuition centers and all nighters.
Does this happen in UK also? They take almost the same O and A level exams as in Pakistan. Do they have tuition centers over also?

It's G.C.S.E (Metric) and A Level (FSC I think). There aren't any tution centres as such but during term-time revision sessions are put aside for students a month or so before exams. Obviously one Is expected to plan their own study time off campus. I don't think you can expect a decent grade If you are going to pull all nighters before major exams, ofcourse the naturally gifted won't need revision.
Students here like to shake their booty. Students often go out during term-time and some even when their exams are around the corner. Partying Is a major part of their lifestyle.

Pakistani's & Indian's are students only - since it's below our dignity to be working in petty jobs!!! Almost all still get an allowance from their parents.
Even our parents would not like us working in bars, shops etc.
Whereas, in UK, USA, Australia etc most students have to work to support themselves, fees, living expenses, etc.
So the answer is - O & A levels is important, but only to those who want to pursue University studies, the rest would move into secretary, hairdressing, plumbing, mechanic training courses.
Indo Pak - every high school student becomes a graduate? and then looks for the extremely scarce white collar jobs.

Till A level schooling is free in Australia. That is if you are a citizen or permanent resident. For those who care to get into unies and in subjects they desire , it does pretty much stop and for good enough reasons i think.

i heard in pakistan u have to pay for education and have to start shcool and college early in the morning about 7
but here in britain u dont pay for education in school u dont, in college u dont instead the gov pays some students money called EMA. in uni some students are also educated for free by goverment grants. however this applies to some students only.
before exams start we have time off before the exams start which is called study leave.
in my opinion pakistan and uk education leads completely seperate paths.

Well we have our own "booty" here! But we do not shake it here - instead we keep them dearer than many things in our lives during exam time:D .

I have heard "Good grades" in UK means a little different than Pakistan. In Pakistan, atleast 7 As in O-level is considered good, in UK, I hear people bragging about 2 or 3 As.
That's not to say everyone scores 7 As, but that is what is considered good.

Pakistani Education standard is at Intermediate level compared to Britain maata.
