^ No, there is no Islamic rule to provide wife a residence. I am not sure where u picked that from. I can understand Islam myself. I dont have to ask any scholar. This religion is for everyone (read first verses in Quran), not just some wise asses
If my wife is not working, she has to cook, clean and take care of my parents.
If I am not working and she is , I will do the same thing, even for her parents.
