Does overcoming your fears = success?

If somehow you are able to overcome your fears or phobias such as public speaking or snakes, does that mean you will be more successful in life than you were before overcoming your fears?

And if you have *nothing *to fear (at least not in this world) does that automatically mean success?

Re: Does overcoming your fears = success?

No

No

there are many brave losers......

Re: Does overcoming your fears = success?

I would assume getting over fears would add power to your mental being, which should make you more successful :hmmm:.

Though, I do agree with brave losers.

Re: Does overcoming your fears = success?

When I saw this thread title, first thing I thought of was snakes :-/

Re: Does overcoming your fears = success?

Reminds me of a saying that goes "there is nothing to fear but fear itself". I think overcoming one's fear helps obe to be successful, among other obvious factors such as aptitude, smarts etc.

Re: Does overcoming your fears = success?

This, but sometimes peoples fears do hold them back...

Re: Does overcoming your fears = success?

Not always.

Some time fear accompanies you all the way to the top.
In some fields, being fearless means being a moron or suicidal.

But you must over come fear of trying some thing.
That you should not live with.
