if the successful partner keeps having an attitude of being superior to the other in terms of success and earnings, it can have negative effects

Honestly sometimes I feel uncomfortable or you may say jealous when his office female colleagues give him gifts, sms, baked tarts but then to calm myself I think who can ever be interested in this fat a**.
Although he never hides anything from me.I actually think about ladies who work and get gifts how their hubbys take it.

I feel sorry for your husband for being married to a woman who despises him and thinks he is so undesirable that no woman would be attracted to him. It eventually reflects on your disingenuity and insecurities (that led you to marry him)

Anyways, hubby's calm themselves by comparing themselves to the men who give their wives attention. Since we don't have a habit of marrying women we despise we need to despise other men.

I don't feel jealous of my husband's success.

For others who get jealous for this reason....I believe it's due to insecurity and low self-esteem.

^ Sadly, since this doesn't hold true when the sexes are reversed, husbands do tend to get jealous of their wives' success.

more specifically if both the partners are working then does one feel jealous/envious of a partner who is more successful? also are the dynamics changed if the partners in question are married or in a relationship.
