Today, we paid money goats/cows etc. and had them sacrificed, the meat was our gain, however, a part of that meat was distributed among the poor, providing them with food too, makingthem able to feed their families well.
well, if you buy a poor person a meal/sponsor a child to pay for their education/pay for someones life sabving treatment, it helps fulfil their needs and makes you feel better as you know you can do good in this world…
However problems of illiteracy, hunger, malnutrition and disease is caused by poverty (or money, as you might see it) in the first place…
and I agree with what KKF said above, too…money in excess does lead to unhappiness.
Therefore, I neither agree nor disagree with the statement

It doesnt work every time but money can be used to buy things that give happiness.

But in many cases money doesn't work. If I have money but I dont have my loved ones around then money wont make me happy
