my parents seem to think that marriage solves all it brings stability and meaning to life.
atm im a single university student living away from home, it brings its issues, and studying amongst boys brings seperate issues.
my parents are now desperate to get me married off thinking it will solve all...
i dont think so.
Various events and phases in our life bring meaning. Like other relationships in your life....marriage...and its pros and cons can develop your character...provides lessons to learn from, etc.
But, I don't see it as the be all/end all to life. I don't think it's the cure to to every problem. Life isn't meaningless for those who are single. It doesn't lose meaning for those that lose their spouse (divorce, death, etc). And for some people, an end to a marriage can bring greater peace and stability. Not everything is black or white.
it does solve all the probs you are having before marriage. after marriage you will have a complete set of new issues, more difficult n not easy to solve issues… :halo:

OK. So you gave your opinion like the news to the world. No question or opnion asked in your post even though some assumed there was a question rather than your opnion.
Thanks for your replies everyone! some interesting points raised.
Alot of these days believe marriage=stability and stability=less problems in life in general, and generally more happiness.
My parents believe this too.
I have no problems that marriage would solve..i.e stress with work or problems with friends etc etc...however my parents think the sooner they get me married off the happier and more stable and focused id be in life...like a person to love..or whatever would complete me...i personally dont like the idea of that!
