i want to know wether learning about sex education in school effect us whilst we are fasting…or is it haraam:confused:

depends on what is being taught to whom (age)
If it is being given in a co-ed situation where boys and girls r together and they are showing videos of pregnant girls, or how to use condoms, etc etc..
it is defintely not allowed and there is a strong chance of your fast being effected through induction of lustful thoughts.
If it is being given in a seperate class by a teacher who understand modesty then it should not be a problem as long as you are not having lustful thoughts.

I think sex education is a very good idea but as long as muslim parents are the teachers. Unfortunately, western idea of sex-ed is complete freedom of mind and body so long as condom is in the mix. Muslim kids should be taught about abstinence, changes before and after puberty, cleanliness, and over all physical health and well being. Information about teenage pregnancy, sexual contact and protection, protection against STD, straight/gay life style is not education but only reinforcement of the idea that one can do as one wishes with the body.

You should talk to your mom, sister, or an elder about these things and not rely on a sex-ed class alone.

You go to Islamic Religious schools and they teach sex education there too
