I would love to hear the opinion of both the guys and the girls on this one. How do you feel about the girl being the taller one? It seems as if girls are getting taller and guys shorter these days!
There is nothing wrong with girl being taller than a guy and all. However, i for one..would like a girl who is shorter than me so it would be easier to pick her up and ....!.

It shouldn’t matter, no, but it usually does. Women usually want to feel ‘protected,’ and height plays a factor in that. How much taller is the real question - an inch wouldn’t be as big an issue as 3-4 inches. Personally I’d prefer someone taller, or the same height. That way when I practice brutal sarcasm on him he won’t start crying. Also, when I feel like I have to carry him over the threshold it kinda kills it.
What about ~5’3 girls who have a 6’ cut off for their ideal guy. I have so many short(er) girl friends who won’t budge on this. Tall orders are one thing, but where does this sense of entitlement come from when you’re tiny yourself. It’d be nice, sure, but what’s wrong with, say, a 5’8er - that’s an entire 5-6 inches taller, but still not good enough. Besides, with South Asian men being generally short to begin with, taller female peers need to be left some options

that is exactly why as you come down the height scale, men lose their desirability much more than women. A 5’3" womans statistical equivalent is a 5’7" / 5’8" guy. but a 5’7" / 5’8" guy would find his dating pool diminish much more than the 5’3" woman. All other things being equal, the 5’3" woman will have more opportunities than the 5’7 / 5’8" guy.
like I said, the problem for men is not women wanting a man who is a few inches taller (equivalent) but wanting someone who is ‘tall’ regardless of their own height…wanting someone who is significantly taller. but thats ok. you cant blame anyone for their preferences.
btw, Short South Asian men are not born out of thin air. Short south Asian women bear them.
