Does it make you happy or sad

Be honest, give me your first impression.

Do these pictures make you happy or sad?

Sad.

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

It very sad. people had to suffer a lot on both sides of the border due to unplanned migration :(

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

sad, but i guess every good things need some effort n strength n patience, yes they suffered a lot , went through lot of pain, lost their loved one, lots n lots of struggle but the end result was their own independent country( forget about present day situation) but still all these pain n suffereings resulted in better lifestyle for their coming generations, they would have suffered more if there was no partition.

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

First you said " forget about present day situation" - then you said "all these pain n sufferings resulted in better lifestyle for their coming generations" . Such contradiction :D

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

lolz i meant k atleast they r still living better in independent country despite of all present day situation, condition could be more worst if they were still living with hindus

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

Muslims living in India are living in much better conditions than Muslims living in Pakistan ..:hehe:

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

yes but this is bc of partition if there was no partition the condition would have been worst.

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

So we sacrificed to make the lives of Muslims of India better :(

Damn Sharukh Khan, damn.

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

But partition also made lives of Indian Muslims miserable too.. There loyalties came under big question mark. They were denounced financing on the pretext that they would leave any time.

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

lolz ofcourse v didnt knew at tht time wht is coming at our end, v hoped for better future, but when ppl like zardari who place benazir bhutto pic on wall n quaid’s pic on table :teary2:, but still fingers crossed inshahallah ALLAH rehm kary ga

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

The situation was similar few years later in east Pakistan as many of the refugees made way into Tripura and Bengal in similar condition

Noone did insurgency like us, sikhs, no one was distrusted like us, no one was killed like us but yet no one progressed like us:), In India if one particular community is not rising then it is community's fault, despite all drawbacks like poverty and politics in relgion In India, a muslim commands army in Kashmir:) and a muslim is election commissioner:), we are not what Nehru thought but soon we will be there:)

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

Yes but initially the Muslims of India suffered due to questioned loyalties. Now when the situation became stable (read difficult for migration due to Visa problems, etc), Muslims are gaining trust again.

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

Poorer Muslims never wanted to go to Pakistan:),soon even Bengalis got disillusioned with the idea, ethnicity was always the most dominating factor in History:) even during pre partition time, league didn’t had all muslim vote, both Baccha Khan and Abul Kalam Azad never sided with Jinnah, It was Azad who devised india’s human development ministry and our central education system:k: like Akali Dal, League was party of just one powerful section of muslims:), 95 % of hindus live in India and muslims got divided in three countries in equal part, dominating two section. They weren’t distrusted like us between blue-star and Kargil:), Fakkuddin Ali Ahmed became president long before, in 65 war, the most decisive victory was by Havildar Abdul Hamid, a poor tailor of UP:), only mistake for what entire Indian Muslims faced difficulty was by Kashmiris:), an ethnic battle became religious because of ouster of propaganda creating Saraswats Brahmins:)

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

Yes its a fact that there was no idea of migration to the areas forming current Pakistan, but the circumstances compelled them to migrate. No one wants to leave the place, where they passed the childhood and had last resting place of their forefathers.

There remained a dilemma in Muslims where to live. Many Muslims stayed in India, but then left for Pakistan when called by their migrated relatives. Many people who migrated initially could not live in Pakistan and if got chance came back in India.

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

indian : of course partition was a mistake, if we were one country we'd be suparpowar.

pakistani: of course without partition we'd all be hindus' slaves

Re: Does it make you happy or sad

:cb: Superpowers having atomic bombs and no roti for public and salute to Pakistani’s fragile ideology of religion.
