Well, desi nuskhas work SOMETIMES
If you get "chowaray" from there(dried dates), ask her to dip the chowaras in hot milk until they get softened, and eat those. not more than 2-3 a day
Tell her to drink hot cup of milk before going to bed and in the morning.
These desi totkas might or might not work. Ask her to go to a doctor and get a complete checkup, what's causing the periods to block for such a long time. Not that she MUST end up with cancer, but just to make sure that everything is fine.

i'v been told figs help aswell, because they're garam. But not sure if she should be trying the chowaray and figs at the same time.

Missed periods can be caused by many things, and it could be entirely benign, but she needs to get checked up. Hormonal imbalances due to cysts on the ovaries or benign pituitary tumors COULD be the cause.
The "cancer" thing is probably because research shows that women with fewer periods have a lower risk for breast cancer (but higher risk for uterine cancer).

far as i know u miss periods only if you are under lots of stress, due to pregnancy or serious hormonal imbalances. in case she isnt pregnant, she needs to go to the doctor and get hormones.
no it does not cause cancer but it is still dangerous.
