Hello everybody, i was hoping that u could help me out in making a decision, i have this monochrome display mobile with green backlight, i love everthing abt except its backlight and was thinking abt changing it to white(moonlight) but some ppl have been telling me that it affects the mobile or the person who changes it may ruin my phone, so what do u ppl say???
ur battery life will be shortened..... i hardly use my backlight in day light, i alwayz shut it off to maximize the battery pwr, since i am alwayz on road talking on my mike phone. If you know what your doing, i doubt u will damage it, and if u dont know what ur doing, save up some more money and buy a proper phone which has the backlight u want.
What model/company phone? if it is an earlier nokia 3 series, there are some conversion lcd converion kits available for it. Also depends on how comfortable ur with electronics, since some do require attaching small transistors to circuits. Overall in my opinion i dont think its worth the risk of making ur phone as useful as a brick, u should save some pocket change and upgrade ur whole set.

Just wanted to thank u guys, U made the decision for me, I'm not changing it because it's not worth taking the risk and it works fine, i'm not losing just becoz i don't like its backlight, khair once again thanku very much , take care
