Oz Muslim cab drivers refusing to carry blind, disabled passengers

Melbourne, July 17 (ANI): Muslim taxi drivers in Australia are refusing to carry blind and disabled passengers with guide dogs - because their religion tells them the animals are “unclean”.

Nijasat only passes through wetness. And as for refusing a disabled person, they certainly are not doing what islam teaches us.

Salam Alaikum,

The cab driver is wrong to refuse a disabled passenger with a guide dog. Surah Al-Kahf states the account of the Boys with their dog who hid in caves because of the evil that was being carried out in society. The dog stayed with them in the cave and remained by the entrance of the cave for Guarding purposes.

There is a time and place for where a certain animal cannot be present, but for genuine reasons, i believe it is and should be allowed. For example, Dogs are allowed for security purposes but discouraged as house pets.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge can shed some light on it.

For 1400 years Mulims have been told based on some ahadees that dogs are najis , it will take another 1400+ years to come out of that mindset.

Dogs are najs dude 1400 years is a long time, Mufti saheb. but you know better than I that they have taken one incident labeled all cab drivers..

Dude I know that ppl die of rabies in pakistan. Till we have that under control, we should keep telling them that dogs are not clean.
Trust me its going to take more than 1400 years before pak can control rabies.

please provide a valid news source, not a tabloid news source,
such news have been appearing on tabloids and most of these are just made up,
goto reddit and search for "the sun"

and besides, a taxi driver has the right to reject a passenger, its his taxi and he can deny any one
but they should not deny disabled passengers.

When a priest is caught in a sexual harassment case, Christianity is not blamed.

When Hindus burn and slaughter Muslims in Gujrat, Hinduism is not blamed.

When Jews become owner of spreading all the dirt in the world, Jewdism is not blamed

It only happens for Islam, thanks to media.

Br. STP, this scrutiny will strengthen us. Actually the media is doing Muslims a service because more and more Muslims are realizing the X is marked on them as a whole. Sooner or later, the ummah will come out of hybernation. Or atleast we hope...

It's much like the molding of metal to shape it and make it strong, the impurity of it is lost in the heat of the moment, what remains is the purest of its form and material.

Meanwhile, we must defend Islam at all costs possible. Others will spare no way to taint the name of Islam. Pity it is that they will taste sour later because Islam is here to stay, its foundation is unshakeable.

The verse comes to mind:

"They plot and plan, and Allah plans too. Verily, Allah is the best planner of all." (Quran)

They may think by doing this Islam will be broken and shattered like fragile glass, little do they know it's like stretching an elastic, while they pull on it, it stretches and gains strengths, and it will only pull back stronger than its original elasticity.
