Does Islam recognize the prophet Joshua?

He is keeping the advice of the Prophet (saw)... it is an accepted opinion that Joshua/Yusha was a prophet... although admittedly the name's something of a rarity...

I have no son, it was just a check to see if the name was ok. It apprently is. :)

Since Joshua or Yusha (Yooshaa) are the same names of prophet Yosha bin noon, so its OK to keep that name.

I want to know about Yeshua 'pronounced=Yeshuwah' which was Jesus' actual name in his native language. Does anyone have information on that, is that the varient of the same Joshua (due to time b/w two and difference of languages) or its a different name.
