As a non-believer, I would say that this is the extremist view. I'm ruled by Satan and he ordred me to interrupt.

Re: Does Islam really say this?

** rule the nonbelievers, while Satan cannot touch believers.**

the nonbelievers r not ruled, rather misguided by satan....
for a better understanding read verses 15:39-42....
also u might want to look at 38:82-85....

Muhammad's doctrine.
might be referring to the sunnah of the holy Prophet (saw)....
and yes it is a must to follow the sunnah as is evident from many verses of the Holy Quran....
but i do feel doctrine is a poor choice of words....

Undeserved Suffering
i feel it wud be not for erasing sins but to test the faith and the patience of the believers....
often it is just to clear out the true believers and the hypocrites....
see verses 2:249 to see how bani israel was tested with an undeserved suffering....
see 3:152-154 and 33:11 (and other verses in the context) for how this ummah was tested....
for individual's case read stories of Ayub (as) and Ibrahim (as)....

Marriage is a sacred contract (but not regarded as a sacrament), (What does this mean?)
if u understand what sacred and sacrament mean i dont think u shud have problem understanding this statement....
its very staright forward actually....

• Undeserved Suffering
Suffering is** desired by Allah** to erase one's sins. Some suffering is Satan's doing or is the work of his spirit world cohorts ("Jinn") and is allowed by Allah as a test of humility and faith; suffering and adversity strengthen one's faith, as pain often leads to repentance and prayer.

I think that if I hadn't done the things I've done, I would never be where I am right now. My life's far from perfect, but I'm far happier now, spiritually, than I had been a year ago or even six months ago. The things we do and the things that happen to us, they are to test our patience and faith in Allah swt. And it is true, pain can sometimes lead to repentence and prayer.

I used to think that Allah has a big plan for all of us in our life, and its upto us to figure out what it is. I thought that even the sins we committed were part of His plan so that we would suffer the consequences of our actions and eventually find Him. However, I've been told many times that the sins we commit are done due to Satan and our weakening iman......does that make any sense?
