Does Islam allow nose pierceing or any part of body, tattoo..etc

Hi Naeem and everyone else,

the subject is interesting…which is what brought me here…

Well I didnt read the whole thread…It was kinda too much to read and I have less time…

So is piercing not allowed in Islam…like Mariah here asked if you could bring some reliable resource..@ which no Qs asked like holy Qur-an…pleez…

what m i gona do…I hav my naak pierced…I mean no one ever told me this never ever…I just know about tattoo…I think its because “if pakistanis do it…its fine for all pakistanis to do it”…I mean my mom or my dad never mentioned it to me…in fact my nano has like all her ears and both sides of naak pierced…and its pakistani culture…hai na?

Naeem, kia aap k koi behn, cousin, Ammi etc k kaan and/or naak pierced nehi hain…huh?
…btw Naeem, kia aaap ney kabhi tasweerain weghairah nehi laytey aur something like that…Maybe you talk the talk but can you walk the walk…I mean you are criticizing(sp) in a way that *piercing is not just only thing that pakistan women do. there are many other things which are SIN and we do it like it is our right. For example. take pics of any living breath thing is SIN and use of those pics are sin as well. but as we see in our country. wait why go that far we do thses things on daily basics each and every one of us. we take pics every day, we post pics in this forum. We go to studios to get potraits and put them in our house. we know that this is not right but we still do it.

Theory is theory, the real thing is to apply that theory to pratical use. Which we are so far of it. *

I think before saying thing you should fix your own self the way you like to see others than it will sound right to say it to others…huh

Naeem, Pleez I dont mean to offend you in any way…if anything you mind Plz excuse me but do ponder on it…

so are u sayin that we shouldnt even have our ears pierced?

wearin nose ring and earin is havin a singar, in islam we should'nt have singar we're not suppose to dress up to impress that's wat ladies these days r doin they ave 12 gold bangles on both of their arms they ave earings neckleses and everthin else wat is it all for? to show off to others i thought muslims won't suppose to show off

then again i'm not really sure

i think we r aloud to color ur hair if it gone white/grey cause i heard somethin bout prophet askin old ppl who were fightin the in war dat they should color their hair so dushman un ko kamzoor na samjeh (old and weak) then agian i'm not 100% sure if dats right

hennah is not permanent..

in addition the prophet himself used Hennah for beard and hair. and sometimes for hands - e.g. at weddings etc.

as for nose piercing.. assuming it is not allowed.. it is not as big a sin as say murdering someone.

anyways.. what was done while you were ignorant about it, you are not responsible if you ask for forgiveness.

This was taken from "Reliance of the Traveller: A classic manual of Islamic Sacred Law"
By Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Misri with appendices edited and translated by Nuh Ha Mim Keller

w51.1 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,
"May Allah curse women who wear false hair or arrange it for others, who tatoo or have themselves tatooed, who pluck facial hair or eyebrows or eyebrows or have them plucked, and women who separate their front teeth for beauty, altering what Allah has created."

w51.2 (ibn Hajar 'Asqalani: ) Nawawi says that 'an exception from the prohibition of plucking away facial hair is when a woman has a beard, mustache, or hair growing between her lower lip and chin, in which cases it is not unlawful for her to remove itm but rather is commendable (mustahabb),"............

as far as i know...god said that women should look like women...not men...and not look like kafir either.....kafir were not the ones who started the piercings....
muslims shouldn't peirce their belly buttons or eyebrows or whatever...but nose and ears are ok cuz we aren't represneting kafirs.
