Re: DOES intuition
No?
Your intuition is that which alerts you internally to react to certain situations that may or may not go against your better judgment. Practicality has nothing to do with it.
Re: DOES intuition
only if you are practically wrong all the times.
Re: DOES intuition
makes sense. but when you think you are probably right, & still the world smartness is other than that, you run the risk of being influenced by what the 'practical' would have you do.
countering it for someone upright is not hard, may be difficult.
but the weak?
Re: DOES intuition
there are 2 practicals one is other ppl's practical.
And than there is you practical.
If you intuition always goes against you own practical, I guess its a condition called "paranoid"
Re: DOES intuition
You mean practical by our social norms and what we've been socialized to do. Such as, an American not being paranoid about opening the door for a police man. I'm not paranoid, but I know not to trust anyone. My intuition may say not to open the door, or it may not. It's an instinct to be wary of others, while that instinct may be exacerbated by your conditioning (such as teaching a girl not to trust any man, or the opposite, teaching your children to trust every person in uniform).
I don't see how practicality comes into play in any of this. The only thing I see here is "common sense," which is instilled in us by the practices of our people.

Senses are not instilled by practices.
Senses are not instilled by practices.
You're considering the physical senses that our body receives through nerves. I'm talking about mental process.
Again, please refer above.
Re: DOES intuition
what happens when someone aims to mess up with your mind?
how does intuition suffer then and what can you do to make that loss never happen?
Intuition is basically subconcious inferences based on our subconcious assumptions.
These assumptions are learnt throughout life and leads to us making right or wrong decisions.
For example, if you are walking down the street alone and you see a man straggering towards your intuition may cause you to infer that this is a drunk guy and needs to be avoided. This is based on your assumptions that men straggering are usually drunk and maybe dangerous.
Another person in the same situation, his intution may lead him to infer that this person is having a medical emergency and rush over to help the person.
Re: DOES intuition
what happens when someone aims to mess up with your mind?
Again, you are infering that this person is out to harm you based on your assumptions that this person is trying to bad things to you.
You should ask yourself:
1- Is this person really trying to harm me
2- Why is this person trying to harm me
3- What is causing this behavior in the person
4- What kind of things can the person do to me
5- For each of the things that this person can do to me, what can I do to prevent them or stop them.
Once you have found everything that the person can do, it should be easy to take actions so that you are not negatively affected.
Re: DOES intuition
thanks all. points well taken. make absolute sense. sometimes, all at once, seeing so much smartness in others who pry on you, is an ibraat.
