Yes height does matter!!! Especiallly when a man is shorter than the wife…I do agree not everywhere but yeaaa in desi culture where man seems to be more** dominant** in most relationships…These insecurities do put heads up in somehow everywhere…unless the guy is super confident about the his looks even without being shorty :cb:…I watched an indian movie about this topic ( main ,meri patni aur wo)…that movie would explain to u my point about men insecurities… very well.

u r right zennia..i have watched that movie too…but pink candle says that “that guy loves her madly…by nature he is very polite..and he is very excited about the marriage ..but the girl is upset though she understands that it is hard to find such a sweet person but still…”
so dun u think in such a situation this thing is not bothering the man at all coz he wants a tall girl??so i think it differs from person to person..

one of my friends is getting married to a guy who is 2 inches smaller than her in height....she is very sad at this thing...do u guys think the height matters??..comments plzzzzzzzz??

If his height is bothering her THAT much, if his height is distracting her from focusing on his other MORE POSITIVE qualities, then why the hell is she marrying him?

I could understand if she could overlook his height because he's wonderful in every other way and that all his other traits more than compensate for his height. But if she's "very sad", then it seems like she's having a tough time getting over it. Why'd she marry him? She always had the option of going for another guy who also had a compatible personality AND the desirable height. If she doesn't overcome her negative attitude, then it will reflect in her body language. And even the guy will be able to tell that she's not happy and it might hurt him. So, she's going to hurt him over something that he can't change that he has no control over? Regardless of the pressure that parents put upon you to marry someone, no person knows YOU better than YOU. If you know that a certain characteristic is going to be very tough for you handle, then have the courage to face the family pressure, move on from the rishta, and find someone you think is more agreeable in terms of looks and personality.

i think by 'sad', pink candle means she is upset..may be her cousin cannot face the family pressures...but i think heightz dun matter...for me it doesnt..if u get a heighted husband but he is not gud by nature,then after some time u will start disliking his height** too:)

Well if the hubby and and the gurl are ok with it, then there are no serious issues, but if one of them already feels bad, not sure whether this feeling will go away with time or not.

Shorter hubbies are ok, as long as they are a few inches shorter. I dont think a man would like or agree to marry a woman who is taller than 2/3 inches. In such a scenario, both parties would feel uncomfortable.
