^It depends on the how ones immune system is responding to the antigens in the body and how quickly it will recognize the foreign organism, detect it and eventually fight of it off. Sometimes the antigens in ones immune system work against each other and it can be harmful for the individual and the person would most likely be bed ridden for a long time-which can also lead to death.
