I love the effect of bronzer on desi skin. Most caucasians I know get tanned and then use bronzer on ur skin it just gives a sun kissed glow no need for any tanning.

i have seen 3-4 shades of a bronzer.. but i dont know how to choose? and what to look for?
btw i am NC35 can you suggest any?

I think bronzer is an essential part of your face makeup. You can get away with not using it, but I think it looks great even for everyday use when used in moderation. I personally don't use anything shimmery as a bronzer, I use a foundation powder a few shades darker than my skin tone in order to contour and warm up the face. Without bronzer, and just foundation your face looks flat and unnatural. Our skin isn't the same color all over, so it's important to add a darker, lighter, pinker shade to diff parts of it.

I think people shy away from bronzer thinking they’ll end up looking like Snooki. Bronzer is too add color to your face and adding it does not darken your actual complexion, it can even bring out your paleness if used right.
Here is an example of bronzer used right. Keep in mind, the picture on top is from 10 years ago and Kate has lost some weight as well:
If you look, Kate Winslet has pretty much the same colored body in both pictures but her face looks more dimensional in the second. Aside from the weight loss, she has bronzer on the outer bits of her face as well as around her temples and hairline. It makes a HUGE difference in how she photographs as well.
People also shy away from bronzer thinking it’ll look muddy. You need to start off with a fool-proof buildable bronzer which means it will not be very pigmented. I remember I once tried to get into bronzer but started off w/ a Coastal Scents Blush & Contour Kit and the brown in it was SO pigmented, it was like a matte brown eyeshadow. That may work for contouring but NOT bronzer:

See how it leans a bit more golden and mimics a tan? Again, not to be used all over the face unless you want that look. Personally, I really like NARS Laguna but I got rid of the full-sized Laguna (I have a mini for my purse as well as the one in the Blush Bronzer trio so it will not be missed) and upgraded for Edward Bess ‘Daydream’ bronzer. And on a different note, I really want Dior Aurora but it’s been long discontinued since it was limited edition.

^Use a small fluffy brush like a MAC #109 or a tapered one. You can even use a big powder brush. Apple it to the hallows of your cheeks, temples, hair line. You can follow the 3B method.

I use Guerlain's Terracotta.
I love bronzer...use it for contouring, creating cheekbones, giving a really summery glow, etc.
Its awesome stuff!
