They have made lots of movies about Indians living in Canada, US, UK, Europe, etc, and most of them at least start as showing regular Indians living ordinary lives. Dil Walay DLG was one of them, that movie with Amitabh, Sharukh and Hritikh was another one. Tum Bin was also one about Canada.
But I have never seen one about Indians living ordinary lives in Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, etc. Most of the ones I have seen which have some connection with Dubai are usually over the top crazy drug and violence related movies which have nothing to do with showing Indians leading ordinary lives.
Maybe Bollywood did, I don’t watch every Bollywood movie.
Re: Does Bollywood makes movies about Indians living in mideast?
Middle-east is not exactly a place you would associate with ROMANCE - which is the underlying theme of almost all Hindi movies. (by the way, I think the word 'Bollywood' is disparaging to the so many talent people who work in the industry).
The under-world based Hindi movies of course have a "Dubai" component to them.....based on present reality.
heck...there aren't even enough trees in the Middle-east to run around during those song & dance sequences.

What I don't get is why does Dubai even let Bollywood makes movies that revolve around drugs and Dubai? That's not a good image which Dubai probably want. they need permission to film in Dubai (in any country really), Dubai can just refuse.
