Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
One of my best friends uses sun beds often (She is Pakistani). She has never complained about burning before....
I would ask the salon employee about what is their recommendation for you as far as minutes goes. They know best and will be properly able to advise you with the options they have based on your skin tone, skin sensitivity, etc. Everyone is different.
My friend tells me that she always exfoliates really well before she goes tanning so that all the dead skin is removed. She always applies a tanning lotion as well.
I know that generally the lighter skinned you are naturally, the fewer minutes you can go in for at a time. You will just have to go more frequently to achieve the look you want. But as I said... salon person will advise you the best.
My friend is pretty fair naturally and just likes to be a bit darker since she thinks she looks healthier that way. She always gets a nice honey glowy tan look to her skin when she tans. She uses sunbeds all year round.... (kinda excessive but to each their own right?????). :)
Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
No no no..... not good for your skin at all!!!
Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
I go really really brown in the sun and I do burn but very rarely, if u don't burn you should tan nicely on a sunbed..if u go red before u go brown or have lots of moles or freckles u'll need to be more careful.. use loads of moisturiser before and after and a good sun cream.. I tend to only go on for 15mins at a time but if ur not used to it I'd start much lower, 5mins or so then slowly build up :)
Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
try a spray tan booth

I do indoor tanning in order that I will not burn out from the sun when I go outside from the house. I feel to look better and healthier when I get a tan. However, you should know how much amount you receive to avoid damaging your skin.
Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
No, never. I would really love to and actually kind of want to but all the health talk against it has been stopping me. Try spray tanning..I heard it stays on for 14 days, and is safer.
Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
No way...I don't want to get wrinkly skin when I'm older...or worse skin cancer.
Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
Nope, cos i know i'll just go red like a tamatarr, and i don't want to fry my skin.
Fake tan all the way. :D
Re: Does anyone use sunbeds?
I love spray tanning. Try Sun Labs spray tanners:
I spray tan my legs when i wear dresses or skirts since my legs are very pale in comparison to the rest of my body and face. It works pretty well. I think JulieG recently did a video on how she uses Sun lab products to tan but I can’t find it right now:(
