… classical music or listen to musicals?
I love classical music (beethoven, Motzart, Bach, etc), as well as neo classical. I do like some musicals, like Phatom of the Opera.
I like classical music quite a lot…Bethoven, Mozart, and Rahmananov.

Phantom of the Operah is one of my all time favorite musicals. Have you ever seen the movie of the musical West Side Story?
I don't really like Bach. I love Beethoven an Mozart though. At this time my favourite is Rachmaninov.
Have you ever heard of Tchaikovsky? many of his music comes back in cartoons. Like the Nutcracker.
i love classical music, both western and eastern. composers like haydn, beethoven, mozart were genius people and our own eastern classical tunes are so damn bewitching.
since we have a lot of classical lovers here i was wondring if anyone could help me out with finding out who's composition this one tune i've been looking for is, it's a western classical and i've been trying to find out what it is for ages but to no avail. all i can decscribe about it right now is that many ppl are begining to have it on their mobile phones as ringtones thesedays and if anyone of you has seen the PTV drama on the life Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas shaheed N.H. , you might know what i'm talking about cause it's the tune that was playing in the background when his plane was about to crash near the border.
any guesses? :P
Sorry, no Ptv here at the moment, so don't know what tune you mean. I'm not so familiar with eastern classical music.

Tchaikovsky, another awesome composer.

His music reminds me a bit of the rock opera "Beethoven's last night."
What I also enjoyed is different, but music of "The Doors" performed on violin by no one other than Nigel Kennedy. I have now a cd playing of Vangelis called Mythodea, something completely different too. I love this kind of mixed music. Creates a whole new dimension.

Yngwie Malmsteen is a heavy metal guitar player with a background in classical music. He is from Sweden, and has been around for about 20 years or so. He is one of the fathers of Neo-Classical hard rock or heavy metal music. What you heard above was from his Symphony album from 2001. Most of his regular material is of the hard rock/heavy metal style incorporating the classical influence, and it clearly shows on regular albums.
Here is an example of what neo-classical hard rock sounds like. You can clearly hear the classical elements in it. It's wonderful stuff. The following is from a band called "Stratovarius" from Finland, the song is called Stratosphere.

TSO is a collaberation of hard rock and heavy metal musicans. They have an album called "Beethoven's Last Night", and it's a rock opera. Here is one of their songs from that album.
