I was just going through the PHP tutorial few minutes ago and that is where I heard about it.Joomla is a tool used for Web Developing.

Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS). It means that we shouldn’t be confusing it with an actual tool to develop websites. Its just a CMS system written in PHP. So if you’ll have to customize Joomla then you’ll need to know PHP.
