The people working abroad are helping Pakistanis in lot of ways, perhaps more than they could if they remained in Pakistan. Many of them sponsor 5-10 families back home. And every now an dthen they come back and teach their expertise to doctors in Pakistan.
The overseas Pakistanis send 8-10 BILLION DOLLARS every year. Without this contribution Pakistan will be a lot poorer.

They are after all Pakistani, apathy, indifference and all rules.
How many Pakistanis in Pakistan held their political parties accountable in the last 8 years, how many went to party conferences and demonstrated for changes in the leadership of their parties.
IN Pakistan there are barely any volunteer groups cleaning up neighbourhoods, too dirty of a job for mummy daddy people. while in US college students volunteer their clubs and groups to take part in highway cleanup.
Why do you expect that the people who left Pakistan after growing up there will become activists all of a sudden.

Is their anyting immoral or illegal or un-islamic for these doctors to practice in USA? People might hear what you have to say, if you say that in a normal respectful tone. Over here, you are accusing a group of people and making them even worse then dogs.
As far as I remember, during the earthquakes of 2005, Hundreds of doctors from USA of Pakistani origin went back and stay their for quite a while to tend to the injured.
In US, if you have money (which doctors have aplenty), you are first-class citizen. If you don't have money, then thats a separate thing.

Our there Pakistani doctors are already "under watch" of Americans. Do you want them to lose their "naturalized citizenship status"?
They ought to work for the getting more money to Pakistan and not less.

Thats really unfair. I have been working with number of Pakistani American organizations in the US in including in helping organize protests in Atlanta. There were plenty of protests across the US this weekend organized by Pakistanis Americans, and more to come in next coming days. Many of us have been working around the clock calling, emailing and faxing senators and congressmen.
And, the good news is that US Congress is moving in the right direction and 2 identical resolutions have been introduced in both House and the Senate condemning Mushrrafs dictatorship and oppression in Pakistan. Let see what happens in coming days...hopefully Mushrraf will be hanging from the tallest tree in Islamabad.

DL you're ranting about these doctors who live in the west yet the hero/idol that you always go on an on about....lives here in the west. Wassup with that? Perhaps its ok for him because he's so smart and famous so that makes it ok? Or does he assist in the development of Pakistan in some way? How do you know what all these Pakistani doctors are doing here in the west for Pakistan? Do you know for a fact that they're just raking in money for their own selfish benefit?
